Every year on this day one thing that comes to my mind is
Why don't we celebrate Men's day in the same spirit in which we celebrate Women's day.I doubt how many people are even aware of this fact that "Men's Day" does exist and it is on 19 November.Does this celebration imply that there is just one day meant for women and is this again not one kind of discrimination OR is it really a way of celebrating for her economic,social and political achievements.Does this day show that she is a weaker section that needs special day to make a place in this male dominated society or is it to honor this wonderful being.
Whether the world wants to burden her with this act of gratitude so that she could easily make all the sacrifices with a smile or really wants to commemorate her success.
Is this day meant to appreciate and acknowledge her or to empathize with her.
Is she just special for this one day or is it a promise of love and respect to her for rest of the year??

ReplyDeleteDefinitely we should celebrate Men's day with the same Spirit.
But one reason I can think of behind women's day celebration is to remind the greatness of women; now we might think why just one day, so you can treat it same as a Birthday celebration or occurance of any festival like Holi, Diwali with a uniqueness of spirit celebrating it each coming year .Being women this occasion can be utilized for self refinement and processing the thoughts the same way you have done above :)
